When Words Fail

Some days we just don’t have the words. Some days we just don’t have the strength. And sometimes a song can speak for us. This is one of those times.

“Breathe Me” Lyrics:

Help, I have done it again
I have been here many times before
Hurt myself again today
And the worst part is there’s no one else to blame

Be my friend
Hold me, wrap me up
Unfold me
I am small and needy
Warm me up
And breathe me

Ouch, I have lost myself again
Lost myself and I am nowhere to be found,
Yeah, I think that I might break
Lost myself again and I feel unsafe

Be my friend
Hold me, wrap me up
Unfold me
I am small and needy
Warm me up
And breathe me

  1. Hi Rachel. I totally get where you’re coming from. I have a friend who always mocks me for liking songs from years back. But for me it’s not about the age of the song, nor the popularity, but whether it speaks to me. I believe music is a bridge to the soul. I had forgotten about this particular song until I rediscovered it in my music library the morning I posted it. When I listened to it again, it just drew me in and said everything I was feeling in that moment. That’s powerful for me. And it’s not just the lyrics, but the music too. I love it. Thanks for your comment. 🙂
